One photograph(newspaper) of two views of Lansdowne`s Prince Street - 1908 and 1980, looking north. The photo at the left shows the popular mode of travel in 1908. Gladys Cross Moore, 88, identifies the men in the buggy as Wes and Elmer Burns. In the middle background, on the right sidewalk, are Mrs. Moore, then Gladys Cross, 16, and her friend Ada Quinn. The store at extreme right, still operated today, was owned by G.S. Dean, who is standing in from of the porch of the house north of the store. Standing by the pole is the village banker, a Mr. Sparrow.
