LTI Archives offers Genealogy Lunch ‘n’ Learn April 10, 2012
Lansdowne – Leeds and the Thousand Islands Archives will be offering a Genealogy Lunch ‘n’ Learn program throughout the month of May at the Lansdowne Library Branch.

Each session will offer a short presentation on exploring and using a different type of record to discover more of your family tree, followed by research help with Erika Heesen, Archivist for LTI Archives. “There are so many different ways to research your ancestors” said Heesen. “You don’t need to register or come to all the sessions – just drop in to the ones that interest you”.

Participants are asked to bring their own lunch, and the Archives will provide the dessert. Sessions will be held Thursdays at noon. Sessions are:
May 3: birth, marriage, & death records
May 10: immigration & census records
May 17: land records
May 24: military service records
