Historique
The Municipal Heritage Committee was formed in 2001 at amalgamation of the three former townships. It superseded the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committees (LACAC) formed in Escott in 1979 and in Rear of Leeds & Lansdowne in 1984.

The Municipal Heritage Committee Archives holds records of the former townships of Rear of Leeds & Lansdowne and Escott, as well as a number of private fonds relating to these regions. The Archives also holds the Heritage Inventory of historic properties within the Township of Leeds & the Thousand Islands.
