Scope and content
2024-019 James D McDonald Ledger (Lansdowne Blacksmith)
Ledger received from Parks Canada in Ottawa in 2024 . Offered as a result of Deaccessioning of archival material. The three volumes then housed in an outer case of similar material.

At the end of the alphabet, the accounts begin in a wider format (indicating a different book) of lined pages with vertical columns, on numbered pages 1 t0 91 and dated 1890 to 1892
2024-019-A002 Volume 2: continues accounts from page 92 to 183 and dated 1892 to 1901, with loose pages, cards, letterheads, letters, and envelopes inserted between the numbered pages. Following page 127 there are several such pages inserted, including .
2024-019-A003 Volume 3: continues accounts from page 184 to 253 and blank pages continue to 302, with dates from 1902 to 1915. Following page 227 there is an interesting billhead for Firman Cross describing his business. There is a non-consecutive entry on page 302 for the Presbyterian Church from 1890.
