        The Lyndhurst Comets were a hockey team based out of Lyndhurst that played in a regional juvenile league. The league was made up of teams from Seeley’s Bay, Lansdowne, Lyndhurst, Gananoque, Westport and Athens. Seeley's Bay and Lansdowne later dropped out.

        Bruno Rouleau, the French teacher at the Lyndhurst Continuation School is credited with starting up the hockey team, with the assistance of many local business people who jumped in and helped. He also acted as the coach.
