Charcoal portrait inscribed " Mabel Greer '04", mounted in an oval brass frame with convex glass and metal back. The subject is Breta Mabel Greer, born in Brockville in 1896, d/o Wm. John Greer, blacksmith, and Addie Bradford. She died in 1909 (age 13) in Manhattan NY after her family moved there. Possibly done by Mrs. Johnston.

telegraph message in and out of Lyndhurst between 23 July 1873 and 26 July 1882 (front cover missing, very tattered and mouldy).

Interleaved in ledger is a statement from Great North Western Telegraph Co. of Canada showing debits and credits to Lyndhurst office for July 1887.

Collection contains 16 snapshots of the construction of the new dam in Lyndhurst in 1960, with surrounding buildings including the mills on both sides and the blacksmith shop. 1 photo of logs piled in a mill yard, location unknown.

Items consist of a b.w. photograph 13 x 18 cm of the Lyndhurst Continuation School and a b.w. photograph 7.5 x 15 cm of a Lake Trout caught in Red Horse Lake. The school photo has adhered to the glass of a frame in which it was contained for many years.
