Fonds consists of store records and ledgers, receipts, tax forms, school and record books, correspondence, clippings and photographs relating to the life and business of the Darling family in the Thousand Islands region. There are also several small items of historical interest, including a primitive treadle sewing machine and a hand operated vacuum cleaner.
CDROM contains 160 files regarding research conducted in the attempt to acquire the property and the subsequent designation of the property as a National Historical Site, a copy of the Permit for Demolition of the Darling House with attached conditions, letters, maps and related materials, in JPEG format with the exception of one PDF file.

Collection consists of 17 small format diaries written by Karl Burns between 1934 and 2012, a page of handwritten notes about his life, and 3 photos , 2 showing his ploughing skills, also 2 newspaper clippings about his diaries. Accrual consists of 8 photos of the Ivy Lea International Bridge under construction in 1937 & '38, 1 photo of Echo Lodge 1937, and 1 photo of the train wreck at Lansdowne Station in 1946, one copy of The Song of Gananoque, sheet music written and composed by Richard Duff, music arranged by George Daly, owned by Carol Norma Foley.
