Collection also includes the following artifacts: -- a large heavy prehistoric stone axe or hammer grooved for lashing to a handle, previously owned by George Collinson, probably found on his farm near Seeley’s Bay. – an oil painting 16 ½” x 14” of Larose Bay on Charleston Lake, signed by Roy Burtch and dated July 1, 1957, previously owned by Hubert Sly. – a framed oil painting on cardboard 4” x 9” of an unidentified house signed by Roy Burtch. – a framed oil painting 8” x 16” of a rapids in the foreground and a body of water beyond surrounded by woods, unidentified (or possibly imaginary) location, signed by Roy Burtch. This signature is in a script unlike other paintings by the artist. The latter 2 paintings were purchased by Keith Sly from Peter Vogelzang (antiques and art store) in Seeley’s Bay, Dec 2015.
