Fonds contains 2 sets of TIARA maps titled Plan of the Canadian Islands in the River St. Lawrence (3 maps, 6 total located in Cabinet 3 Drawer 1), 2 sets of index cards used to create the maps (1 alphabetical, 1 by lot #), 1 copy of Report to the People, 1 copy of 4 old photographs of fishermen, ca. 800 slides related to TIARA research, 8 audio cassettes regarding the creation of TIARA by Warren Almand, Mike Sykes, Wilson Goff, St Lawrence Islands National Park, and reports. A copy of the Nominating Document for the St Lawrence River to be included in the Canadian Heritage Rivers System prepared by Tiara.

2011-024A accrual received Aug 2015: Accrual consists of: 6 large scrapbooks of newspaper clippings about TIARA activities from Oct 1975 to June 1977 – 2 large scrapbooks of cartoons and letters to the editor by or about TIARA from Oct 1975 to December 1976. – 2 steel 5x8” card files containing survey data on punch cards. – A homemade drilling guide to record data on the punch cards. – 6 file folders of input forms to surveys by TIARA from local residents -- old (or reproduction) map of Westminster Park on Wellsley Island (encapsulated) -- original cartoon by Gene Day showing “Porks Canada” gobbling up the 1000 Islands. (encapsulated) – W. E. Saunders Natural History Award presented by Federation of Ontario Naturalists to TIARA, 1990. – 23 Bristolboard panels telling a retrospective of Tiara activities to 2010. – 6 copies of the first TIARA newsletter of 1975. – a bumper sticker with the logo “Don’t Park on People” – book “Citizen Wetland Initiatives” edited by Wilfred Cwikiel, Michigan, 1995. – books “A Report to the People” vol. #1 to 5 by Tiara, Jan 1977. -- 2 maps of Grenadier Island traced from 1874 survey, one showing historic uses, one showing Parks Canada property (encapsulated, in Map Cabinet).

Accrual consists of : typescript history of the birth of TIARA on Nov 21, 1975. -- photo of the audience at the meeting at Rockport Recreation hall Nov 21, 1975 indicating the 7 people who first met to oppose the expansion of the National park, i.e. Gordon Spaffoerd, Don MacRae, Chris Smith, Kathie Shine, Val Mody, Jan David. -- photo of an early TIARA study group including Kathy Nathan, Fred ?, Joan MacRae, Kathie Shine, Bo Collins, & Lawrence Mallory. -- "View Album of Thousand Islands" consisting of 16 pages with 2 photos per page of scenes in the 1000 Islands. -- Post card of an Island with cottage in the river. -- photocopy of the original doantion form for 2011-024, Nov 1, 2011.
