They are numbered with prefixes that match the main Historical Society Photo Collection (001 to 016), but the numbers of the individual photos duplicate numbers in the main collection. These have been combined into the main Historical Society Photo Collection.
  • Signature Quilt made by ladies of the Sand Bay Church dated 1919 (artifact)
  • manuscript list of 319 names on the Sand Bay quilt.
  • Two sweat shirts printed with the logo of Lansdowne Continuation School (artifact). Donated to Lansdowne Historical Society by Mary Puttenham Taugher, Wolfe Island, ON.

Totem Lodge photo album The Osborn Collection

Collection consists of: -- 50 b&w photos of Totem Lodge, a privately owned summer residence on Tar Island; includes family, guests, and scenes from the 1000 Islands, including 2 photos of the home of Gordon Thing in Rochester, NY. Most are unidentified, a few have Post-It notes attached naming members of the Osborn family. These photos are possibly from the era of 1922-23.

Wooden plaque/trophy for RoLL School Fairs 1921 to 1927

Collection consists of:

  • a wooden plaque with silver plated metal banner inscribed "RURAL SCHOOL FAIR", a central scroll with a medallion embossed with a farm scene, and attachments naming the schools that won the trophy each year. The winners were:
    Sweets Corners School 1921 - Sweets Corners School 1922 - Long Point School 1923 - Long Point School 1924 - Seeleys Bay School .1925 - Seeleys Bay School 1926 - Sweets Corners School 1927
  • Cast zinc attachment in the shape of a shield with crown, maple leaves and a beaver and banner with the name "LYNDHURST CONTINUATION SCHOOL". It has nail holes from being attached to a wooden plaque, and damage resulting from being removed from the plaque.

  • small hardcover book “Piano-Forte Primer” by J F Burrowes, Boston, 1854, signed “Libbie Dollinger / Rockport / C. West”. [Mary Elizabeth Dollinger, born 1854, married Thomas T. Kavanaugh in 1873 and the couple lived for a while in the Kavanaugh house] Very poor condition, not complete.
  • Small softcover book “The Most Reverend Doctor James Butler’s Catechism”
    a book of Roman Catholic religious instruction, no date. Poor condition missing part of the cover page, otherwise complete.
  • newspapers from Montreal between 1919 and 1926, found in the same house, were discarded, as were the remnants of a book about coffee and tea by Chase & Sanborn, with testimonials dated 1882-83.
